2019 Mental Health Advocates Awards

For over 50 years, the Mental Health Advocates of WNY have been fighting alongside individuals, families, and communities for their mental health and well-being. Through education, public information, prevention programs, and training the MHA of WNY has become a prominent voice in not only the mental health community, but the health community at large. On March 13th, the MHA hosted its largest fundraising event of the year and we were honored to take part!

As our president and CEO, Bruce has been serving in the mental health industry for over 40 years. He has helped Spectrum grow to service six counties throughout WNY, offering diverse treatment and contributions in the fields of mental and behavioral health. Our Board of Directors president Bob O’Leary and associate CEO Cindy Voelker were honored with the opportunity to recognize Bruce and present him with the award.

Standing alongside him for their initiative in normalizing the conversation surrounding mental health was the Patrick P. Lee Foundation and WBFO, among others.

We are honored that a member of our team has been recognized for such a great accomplishment, and to be taking part with others in building a community that helps those with mental illness receive access to the tools they need in order to overcome.
