Summary of Position Function

Responsible for the administrative and operational support of the CCBHC clinical program.   Participate in long-term strategic planning and overseeing daily operations to ensure that clients receive the highest quality treatment services in accordance with their individual needs and that these services are delivered in accordance with the Agency Standards of Practice and Core Values. Effectively develop, implement, and administer policies, procedures, programs, and personnel within the Department and collaboratively with the other Departments of the Agency to accomplish these objectives.

COMPENSATION: $65,672 – $80,076/yr

Education Requirements

  • Masters degree in psychiatric social work, community mental health, counseling, rehabilitation counseling, or related field of Human Services.

Experience

  • Two (2) years full-time paid experience in a senior capacity in a comprehensive behavioral healthcare organization. Experience must include direct work with clients in a range of clinical settings, and with high risk populations as with mental illness, developmental disabilities, alcohol/drug abuse, older adults, and legal offenders, as well as demonstrated supervisory and administrative experience.
  • At least five (5) years experience must be in providing direct services to mentally ill and or chemically dependent persons.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATE:

  • As appropriate for degree i.e.; LMSW, LCSW, LMHC

Major Duties & Responsibilities

  • Operations: Assist in the planning, implementation, and oversight of clinical services to ensure that high quality behavioral healthcare is delivered at each clinical site and clinical staff are following clinical protocols and agency policies and procedures.
  • Program Administration: Monitor Agency standards of practice as well as County, State and Federal standards to ensure these are fully met. Exceed those standards wherever possible and practical.
  • Program Development: Support the development and implementation of valid innovative best practice programming consistent with progressive treatment, person centered and rehabilitation, support and recovery services trends, and research and evidence-based practices. This includes initiatives required under grants, learning collaboratives, or by regulatory entities.
  • Collaboration: Effectively interact with cross-functional teams, including Quality Improvement, Finance, Training, and Human Resources to identify opportunities to collaborate for the betterment of the clinical services and outcomes.
  • Finance: Participate in developing a well-considered annual budget for the Clinical Services Division and ensure operation within that budget.
  • Teamwork: Assure the standards of a high performing team member are role modeled daily and that all supervisees are accountable to performing at the same standard.
  • Utilize data-driven decision making to devise strategies and plans for the clinical department according to the agency standard for excellent service and growth.
  • Work closely with the VP of CCBHC to identify, evaluate, and address employee morale, work performance, productivity opportunities and concerns.
  • Work closely with the clinical services and data management teams to ensure fidelity in the reports generated to monitor the CCBHC performance measures.
  • Monitor and respond to internal data and reports to ensure internal and regulatory standards of care are adhered to.
  • Coordinate, schedule, and co-facilitate departmental meetings to ensure consistency and fidelity of standards of practice across all clinical locations.
  • Support and manage the programs information sharing platforms, including but not limited to the Clinical Manual and CCBHC SharePoint site.
  • Serve as a point person to oversee the development, execution, and monitoring of special projects that promote the overall success of the CCBHC.
  • Serve as a consensus builder to ensure consistency in the delivery of high-quality services and the application of best practices across all clinic locations.
  • Complete required surveys, reports, and documentation in a timely manner meeting all standards of professional content and professional presentation.
  • Ability to work effectively with clients, families, staff and community contacts from a variety of cultural and ethnic backgrounds.
  • Represent the organization and promote a positive organization image by participating in community meetings, training seminars, and joint-venture collaborations.

SKILLS:

  • Possess strong interpersonal and leadership skills to support the growth of the clinical teams.
  • Must have sound clinical skills and experience in behavioral health as well as knowledge of importance of integrated physical health care needs.
  • Must be well versed in County, State and Federal standards and regulations.
  • Must be able to initiate, develop and implement valid innovative best practice’s programming consistent with research and evidence based and best practices
  • Possess exceptional organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated track record of people management skills.
  • Must demonstrate solid knowledge of financial and billing systems as relevant to program.
  • Must have excellent analytical and writing skills.
