Summary of Position Function
The Director of Spectrum Education and Training Institute leads the Spectrum Education and Training Institute (SETI). This position reports to the Senior Vice President of Administrative Operations, assisting that individual with all program initiatives/projects. The Director of Spectrum Education and Training Institute creates and provides training of the highest quality and available evidence base, in both small and large groups. This position is encouraged to facilitate staff development opportunities via effective use of the best available technologies. This position additionally provides 1:1 and/or group clinical supervision to individuals seeking NYS licensure, as assigned.
Education Requirements
- Min. Bachelor degree in behavioral health related field; Master preferredLICENSURE/CERTIFICATE:
- NYS QHP (LCSW or LCSW-R preferred due to licensure supervision requirements)
Experience
- Min. 3-5 years providing direct behavioral healthcare experience
- Min. 1 year providing clinical supervision to behavioral healthcare staff
- Min. 1 year experience developing and delivering trainings to behavioral healthcare professionals

Major Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversee and provide supervision to members of the Education and Training Institute
- Develop and deliver high-quality work-related trainings to Spectrum staff
- Plan and provide 1:1 and group supervision as assigned (ex: licensure supervision, group supervision on clinical and other topics as assigned)
- Complete training and supervision related documentation
- Assist the Senior Vice President of Administrative Operations with training/supervision planning, delivery, and feedback data analysis
- Coordinate with the Senior Vice President of Administrative Operations to help ensure the achievement of program goals
- Coordinate with Spectrum Vice Presidents/Managing Directors/Directors related to the development, accomplishments and identified learning needs of those receiving supervision services, as needed
- Assist with continuing education applications submitted to NYS OASAS and NYS Department of Education, as needed
- Assist with Relias LMS administration and related activities, as needed
- Assist staff with NYS Department of Education licensure applications, as requested
- Participates in external meetings, trainings and other forums as requested
SKILLS:
- Capacity to effectively utilize multiple technologies, including but not limited to, Relias, Survey Monkey, Power Point, and Excel
- Ability to efficiently conduct web-based training research
- Understanding the principles of adult education and training design
- General understanding of a wide array of behavioral health care conditions, and related interventions/evidence based practices
- Demonstrated capacity to provide effective and engaging clinical supervision
- Ability to understand and communicate the role of FIT in supervision
- Engaging training skills
- Excellent communication and organization skills
