I have been with care coordination at Spectrum for 20 years.  My background prior to that was working providing substance abuse counseling in an outpatient clinic.

How long have you been working at Spectrum?

I have been working at Spectrum for 20 years.

What do you consider your greatest professional accomplishment?

I have two.  First, my greatest professional accomplishment is starting as a care coordinator at Spectrum and working my way up through the agency to Vice President of Health Home Services.  I am so fortunate to be part of an amazing executive team.  Secondly, I was one of the first care coordinators on the original team of four.  It has been an amazing experience to be a part of the program’s growth and to see the things that have been accomplished in the agency and in the community.

What is your favorite part about working at Spectrum?

The people —both the people I work with and the individuals we serve. The care coordination and ACT teams are great professionals and amazing people that day in and day out work with individuals to advocate and assist them with achieving success in their lives. Everyone –individuals we serve and staff–bring so much to the table and collaboratively are able to make a difference in people’s lives. It is exciting to celebrate the small steps and successes every day. The programs that I oversee are teams of people that are very supportive and are always willing to help.  It is exciting to see out of the box thinking every day to help individuals served to get their needs met and reach their goals.

Where is your favorite place to go in Buffalo?

Food trucks and to Russell’s Steak House

What do you like to do when you are not working?

My husband and I stay very busy in our free time with our three children.  They are very involved with athletics, so you can usually find us on a field of some type, in a hockey rink or in a gym.  We also like to vacation in Maine or Disney.  I also like to cook and shop in my free time.
