Working With Older Adults

For all virtual training, a working microphone and video are required for participation and engagement. The Zoom link will be sent 24 hours prior to the start of the training to the email address provided at enrollment.

Training Overview

With the growing mental health needs of adults over 60, understanding how to connect and work with this population is crucial to providing effective care. This training will review the developmental stage of older adulthood, their unique needs and advocacy efforts for this population. Participants will leave feeling confident to work with these clients. Video and Microphone are required.

identify 1-2 life changes associated with aging

identify 1-2 mental health or substance use specific issues in older adulthood

identify at least 2 considerations to be mindful of when working with the aging population
