With winter coming to an end, we will begin to see the fresh greenery and flowers grow. With this, for a lot of us will come “spring cleaning” of our homes and why not apply this to our minds as well?
The revival of the season can be the push we need to let go of the clutter in our minds and negative habits. Like planting seeds for new flowers, we can plant the seed for positive habits. Whether it be starting to focus more on gratitude, meditation, or any self-care that you feel could make your life more peaceful. While big and drastic changes to our lives can be harder to commit to, we can focus on smaller goals that we can incorporate to our lives that are more likely to stick with us.
For example, starting a gratitude journal. Committing to writing one line of gratitude for that day can help us to think about things we are grateful for throughout the day and give us more appreciation for small bits of happiness during our day. For someone who needs to slow down and live in the moment, this can also be helpful. Whether you start your day, end your day or use it as a break in your day to sit down and think about what you are grateful for can lead to person growth and happiness.
It is far to easy to focus on the cold dreary weather of winter; spring is a reminder that growth and beauty awaits us.
